Just a note of thanks to all the guys behind the scenes at FDCC this weekend for another great match! If I tried listing everyone I am sure I would miss one or two, but you know who you are, and so do we. Great company, great prizes, and a great time for all. (Even those of us who had brain farts in the house Thank you ALL again! MIke

I have been to a lot of shooting events, but this year's anniversary shoot was the best. It even topped last year's by a wide margin. Thanks to everybody that worked hard to put the match on, everyone who attended, and our sponsors who gave generously. I need a break, two days of this wears a man out. Man, the pics and videos from this one are gonna be awesome!

| Burny, your contribution to the event adds a lot to everyones experience. You and the other Class III shooters bring something most others dont often get an opportunity to see, much less touch and actually shoot! A mom and her 16 year old daughter were thrilled and its about all they seemed to talk about. Im sure they are just two of many who feel the same. I know I do. thanks a million! |

Yeah, I think Burney is the Good Citizenship Award winner of FDCC. I think I have about as much fun wiping the drool from my chin after shooting his toys as I do the rest of the match. Like I told the Mother of the 16 yr old..... There are thousands of movie watchers and computer gamers that DREAM of and never come close to shooting the hardware Burney brings and is so generous with. Thanks again to Burney, Matt, Neil, Chuck, and everyone who somuchas carried a 2x4 to help make the match as good as it could be. I had an absolute blast and can't wait for the pictures. |
I am pretty sure that the berm was actually 300 yds, not 200 - which IIRC would put the farthest target at ~300 yds. It doesn't salve my pride, since I missed the 125 & 150 as well, but junior and I were shooting crap on the berm and at the base of the berm with the 300 yd mark in my Shepherd scope with no problems at all. ETA: I had a ball! There is nothing quite so satisfying as watching your handsome manly piano virtuoso offspring work a shoot house with his very own AR, whacking each and every BG (and dog) in 56.XX secs, and only erring by shooting a single hostage (who looked like he might have had it coming anyway) for a total of 66.XX secs! We were both grinning from ear to ear when we came out. (The RSO let me follow junior in, at a safe distance.) I am one proud papa, and one proud, happy FDCC member. There is hope for this country. |

To all the FDCC folks- We were only able to make it on Saturday, but it was the best time! What a blast! You are a great group. We were made to feel very welcome as newcomers, and enjoyed every single thing about the day. The memories will last our lifetimes. Thank you to everyone involved, especially Neil and Burney. Y'all are the best! |
Come back! |
