In a bold, imitation-is-the-sincerest-form-of-flattery move, Rabbit 9 and myself are trying to get  an FDCC-styled thing going in our area.  We've put on three matches this year and have been having 10-15 shooters each time.  We're planning to do it each month like ya'll do.  Here's some pictures from the last match.  Let us know what you think.  Any advice is also welcome.

Stage 1   Knock down all the pins and put two shots in each IDPA Target.  Quick & Easy Right?

Stage 2   Shoot and Move around the barricades

Stage 3   The Shoothouse.  Clear it as fast as you can, but don't shoot the Pink smiley-face alien friendlies.

Through the Door...

Down the hall...

Another room...

Out the back...

And a good time was had by all!

Thanks again to Peggy Crockett and The Carolina Star for the use of the ranges/clubhouse and a great meal.  Looking forward to next month's adventure.

Looks like a lot of fun.  I recall reading something about immitation being the sincerest form of flattery . . . oh right, it was earlier in the post.

Wow, high round count!!! Bring lots of mags and ammo! When we first started, it was a great turnout when we had 8 people!!! There's a few 1st Generation FDCCers still around. Keep it up, folks will come if you make it fun!

High round count is right!  The pictures don't even show all of the targets.  It was a ninety round minimum.....and we had to eliminate a few targets.

This was the biggest thing we've tried so far, and there is definitely a learning curve.  Our next match will have a minimum round count of seventy-five, but fifteen of that will be shotgun.

So far it's been easy to come up with COF's, I just pick things that I have trouble with, and bring everybody else along for the ride.  The next match will include weak hand drills.

where and when are your shoots?  I know of a few FDCC shooters who might like to attend.  Keep us posted on your progress.

All our matches are held at the Carolina Star gun club (  www.carolinastar.com  ).  Currently, the matches are being held on the third Saturday of the month, but this is subject to change due to our work schedule.  All match announcements will be posted on the Georgia and South Carolina Hometown Forum's, as well as on www.csrapistol.com .

Ya'll come!

Thats a really nice place.  I attended a shoot a few years back there sponsored by the Aiken County Sheriff's Department.

At the time, I was living in Lexington, SC but have since move back home to Florida.
