I know I probably cant make a two day class with my work, but I will see if I can make it to the Entry class. I should be able to take off a single day. Feb 20 is on a Friday. I work both jobs on Friday. Do you happen to know aprx when the class will finish up. If it is early enough (4pm or so) I would still be able to make it to the night job. If not, I'll have to get off both jobs. Let me know, I'd really like to work this out.

Neil,

My experience with Steve in the past has been the classes wrap up around that time but he'll continue on if there are people with questions.

The little bit of team entry we did in his carbine class was outstanding. We tagged our weapons with red flagging tape after everyone observed each one safely unloaded and then all mags were left at the bench. I felt totally safe and you know how I am when it comes to safety. We then setup a room and when into real world situations such as an intruder in one of the bedrooms in your house.

Great practical training.

The courses are starting to fill up.  Get your registrations in as quick as you can.

Like Sam said.  You won't be disappointed!

We'll go from 9am to approximately 6pm on Friday for the TEAM Tactics, 9am to 9pm on Saturday for the first day of the Carbine course and 9am to 5pm on the last day of the course.

We've got a diverse group of people attending so far that will make a great opportunity to network.

Take care and be safe!

Hey, guys, I am really looking forward to coming back to Florida.  Russ assures me that the love bugs will be hibernating at this time of year.

A few words about the Team Tactics class: it doesn't matter if you are a police officer, security officer, executive protection specialist, spouse, or even living alone, the Team Tactics course is eye-opening.  You will never look at the world the same again. I never fully realized how vulnerable I was in a 360-degree world until I started studying team tactics. Simply joining forces with other like-minded individuals is a start in the right direction, but unless the group understands and adopts certain concepts and is willing to follow certain guidelines, little more than group chaos will probably result.

This is NOT a SWAT entry course inasmuch as our objective is not to teach techniques applicable to hostage rescue and serving high-risk warrants. Regardless, we will teach dynamic entry techniques that are appropriate for dealing with an active shooter or home invasion that employ speed, surprise, and tactics designed to effectively aggress upon and stop bad guys. We take a lot of pride in explaining to you why we approach a certain problem a certain way, and shy away from claiming that the material we teach is the answer to everything tactical.

Russ and I look forward to working with you.

Steve, I'm really looking forward to the team tactics class. I found yours and Russ's real world instruction very enlighting in the carbine class, down to the instructions that you would give the people around you when the smoke clears. It certainly has given me a different mindset when it comes to protecting me and mine.

FDCC are you listening?

As much as I wold love to go, and might actually be able to scrape up the $$, I will be at the SHOT show the previous weekend. Having to take 2 days off work for that. If I tried to get another day off that close, it probably wouldnt fly over too well.
Besides, I'm too scared to take a TEAM class with Dirk. He'd probably shoot me in the arse.

Hawkeye,

We use red guns only in the Team Tactics course in order to condition our students to work in a 360-degree world, plus get a feeling for what it is like to go face-to-face with a real live adversary. We already know you can shoot a gun, but can you keep your cool, think on your feet, and use tactics to gain a fight-winning edge?

To that end, if Dirk shoots you in the arse, it will be with a red bullet.  Your chances of survival are very high.

Hawkeye,

Knowing Dirk and judging from your post, I figured you two guys had a little history!

Sorry you can't make it. If you get a chance to come by and let me meet you, please do so.
