I know this is going to sound nit picky. But here goes anyway, how many of you have a little "play" forward and backward in your paddle release?  talking 2mm or so, not side to side and not rattling. The ONLY reason I ask is, I have a gun with absolutely no "play" in the paddle at all, and the other has ever so slightly a little bit. The release works perfectly fine, it's just one of those things that I've fixated on and so I had to ask.

The play is normal.

Every one of mine except my 10mm gun has play in them... and the only reason the 10mm gun has none is because it is a completely different design.

The play varies from minuscule to full on rattle on my Coharie gun.

Thanks....I'm just obsessive about that kind of stuff. None of my HKs have paddle releases yet. I have 2 Dakotas, they're both built like tanks, one has a little play in it though and my obessive compulsiveness forced me to ask the question.

Do both have the anti-rattle tab? My Z5RS has it, so when I bought one to install in my SAR3, I bought the anti rattle paddle, and it has no movement.

Never noticed it.  I was probably too distracted by my wrong hand slide release rattling.

The anti-rattle style is the current spec part. I don't know of anyone who uses the older friction style unless they are making an era-specific G3 clone of some sort.

My Bobcat had a horrible issue with the rattle on the paddle mag release.  I finally sent it off to Bill Springfield for adjustment and trigger job.  That man does quick, amazing work.  The trigger and paddlemag are top notch now.  Oh yea, another 160$ down the Bobcat drain.
