I've done some small tweaks and builds in the AR and the AK platforms, but MP5s are a completely different animal. I bought this kit from Apex and have come to the conclusion I don't want to weld or bend the flat myself.
Knowing this, what are my options? I've found 2 places who seem to do this work, Investment Grade Firearms and TSC Machine. Would this be my only option? What should I know/ask? Is there a place someone has used and recommends? Thank you. |

So you're wanting someplace to build your parts kit into a semi auto for you (press and weld barrel. weld cocking tube, modify trigger group, etc)?
Probably cheaper, and definitely much quicker and easier to simply buy a completed MP5-alike SBR and sell your parts kit to offset part of that cost. Given backlogs at most HK-specialist smiths, you're looking at more than a year to get anything done with your parts kit, and still will have transfer and NFA issues to deal with after that. |

Do you remember what PCS quoted you? How do you like TPMs finished product? Thanks for your input, appreciate it. I saved $1,740 - $1,840 by going with TPM for my SD over PCS. Mine is still in jail, but I checked out guns TPM had in various stages of completion (as well as complete guns) in their shop and everything was impeccable. I know PCS puts out a quality product, which is why I looked into them. But when I saw the price, I checked out immediately. |
