So the C308 has been out for a while, anyone have any reviews? Looks like a pretty decent buy with a PTR receiver and barrel and surplus CETME parts. In the pics it looks like the bubba brake is welded on, is it? Also, it looks like they are using a PTR trigger housing, but the CETME safety and it doesn't fit quit right.
Feed back is appreciated. Looking for a cheap, durable beater and this seems to fit the bill. ETA: After a little more research it appears this rifle is more likely than not built by PTR for Century. Sounds like the only CETME parts might be the bolt group and the recoil assembly. PTR receiver, barrel, and trigger group. |

I think I heard in one of the century videos it has AR10 threads on the barrel so it will take common muzzle devices.
I saw one in person a few weeks ago and it looked pretty good. I have a ptr 91 a3r and love it. If I can find one of these around $500 I may grab it. I think these are closer to $600, which isn't far from a ptr 91 GI. |
