| Does anyone have any idea what it would cost to get a in spec receiver installed and barrel cut down on a c93. I have had nothing but problems with this gun and am to the point of just using it as a parts kit and turning it into 93k pistol 12.7 inch barrel and then form one it to a SBR. Who would be a good smith for this job that does not cost an arm and a leg. |

The C93 receivers with the 91 type ribbing are very nice in spec. receivers. I assume you have the older Special weapons receiver with the usual 93 type ribbing?
What about the receiver is not working that makes you think it is out of spec? Replacing the receiver is a big job that will take a smith many hours to finish. I would have it looked over and find the exact problem and try to fix that before just rebuilding the entire rifle and possibly ending up with the same problem. If you want a different set up that requires a rebuild then have at it but most any problem the rifle has can be fixed with little effort compared to a new receiver. |

the one I bought has the bolt binding in the receiver and not letting it and the spring reciprocate.
I have seen people make a jig that you hammer into receiver from backend to "form" it back to spec. I don't have access to one so I am discussing returning the item to the seller who sold it me. |

Quoted:
Mine has failure to feed, mags fall out, mags sit to deep and obstruct the bolt from going into battery. If you are using real HK mags then I would check the mag catch and fitting areas of the mag. The front of the mag hooks on the trunnion that connects to the barrel and is going to be in the same position related to the carrier no matter the receiver. The mag catch would be set to high if the mag is seating to high in the rifle and that is much better than being to low because the catch can be filed lower. |

I will try this I may just order a new latch and install that and see if that fixes the problem. |
