I am looking for any reviews from people (that do not work for PTR) about this pistol. I have looked around a little and cant seem to find many. Is this a relatively new firearm?

I wouldn't call myself a hater.I mean, it's a 308-caliber firearm where the length of rifled bore is just a little longer than the cartridge's OAL. I just think it's a completely irredeemable, useless waste of perfectly good 308. Foolish. Carolyn McCarthy foolish.
EDIT Sorry, I thought the OP meant a .308 MP5K. The PTR PDW on Atlantic Firearms is only a little foolish. I still think 308 is still utterly wasted on short barrels though... |

dont own the PTR, but I do own a vector version.
started as a pistol and shortly thereafter made the sbr switch. as a pistol its fun and loud(muffs and plugs loud). it really shines with a stock on it though(still loud obviously). I started with the collapsable, but changed to the full stock for comfort. recoil is pretty stout, but still manageable. with a borrowed sear in it, I am the only one (of my 5 friends there that day) that could actually maintain total control of a mag dump. if I was to purchase something to use as just a pistol, I would go AR or one of those draco AK's, but I knew this was going to be SBR'd after purchase. so yes, I would get another one. |
