How can they sell these w/o nfa paperwork?  What am I missing?

They are completely legal parts because they don't fit semi-auto shelf guns.

Not a firearm.

Cannot fit onto a semi-auto.

This is what we buy when we convert to semi-auto only trigger packs.

They are not a registered firearm.

I figured as much but thought I would clarify from the hive.  Will it work if I throw it on a 91 (work as in semi NOT FULL).  I ask because I have a 91 that I had Williams Trigger Specialties do a trigger job on and would like the option to go back and forth from standard to modified.

No, it will not work. It won't even fit onto the gun without being heavily modified (clipped and pinned). In that case you'll have exactly what you already have but without the trigger job.

To clarify what was said, no it will not work as it is originally, but it can be converted to work.  Properly done everything is legal and can function just like an original semi auto pack.

As mentioned, no it will not fit as it is. That is why it is legal to sell in full0auto configuration. It will only fit onto a registered machine gun as is.

You would have to do 2 things to install it onto your rifle:

First: Have the housing clipped to fit onto your semi-auto shelf. You can have a fake pin added where the push pin would go (for looks only), it looks nice but I never bother. You can do it yourself with files and a dremel if you have any machine skills.

Second: Have the trigger pack converted to semi-auto. I don't know the specifics, but involves removing the 'sear', making it work properly in semi-auto, and cutting the notch out of the pack to fit onto the semi-auto shelf. Not nearly as easy to 'do it yourself' as the housing.

hope this helps,
Where are you in FL? I am in Ocala and could show you the difference and some about clipping the lower housing.
