I'm fairly new to the HK world and working on an MP5K. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the RCM parts compare to actual HK parts, primarily locking pieces, bolt assemblies and bolt carriers?

I have an RCM carrier. It is very well made, but I don't know how the heat treat is. I like it and I think it is worth the cost. Mine did not have the little roll pins or locking piece spring. I think they are finished now. Mine was in the white.
Here are some pics of the carrier next to a contract MP5 carrier. The barrel with the 3 lug is also RCM, very nice...
