I found one locally and it is going for 750, takes grease gun mags. I realize SW does not have a stellar rep but I have not seen too many of these floating around.

Anyone have experience with them?

I have one, and I like it a lot.    It is accurate, reliable, and fun to shoot.  I just need to get off my ass when it comes to SBRing the damn thing.

Does it have the canted magwell, or is it straight?

Straight magwell, takes grease gun mags.

That's one of the early (straight magwell) SW guns.

The early guns were built on 9mm receivers vs the newer 'X' guns that used .40 cal receivers.  The newer 'X' models (canted magwell) use a .40 cal carrier, not a standard 9mm carrier as the early (straight magwell) guns did. Trust me I've owned both guns and they are different as night and day.

Pro: Its a .45 cal MP5 and, if you get it to run, they're a lot of fun.

Con: Good luck getting it to run. Some do, some don't. Ever.

If there's any way possible for you can shoot it before buying, I would HIGHLY recommend you do so.
