My bolt gap is .006 thats with an empty chamber. From what I have been reading I might want to go up a size in rollers. I also have these pictures of a spent casing my question on these is whats up with the carbon on the ends of the casing ?wrong bolt gap? My brass from the PTR does not have this.

It wouldn't hurt to put +4 rollers in.

The carbon deposits are due the the chamber reaming.

I have noticed that my locking piece looks very worn. That could be part of the drama. Where can I get a new one other than HKparts.net that wont cost $50 for used or $95 for new? I checked robertrtg ant there were none listed.

That's pretty much the going price(s).

I know where there may be one for sale - but I seriously doubt it will be under $50. I'll check later today and get back to you.

I have seen that there are two types of locking pieces. One says its for 55gr I guessing the other is for 62gr. If I get one from HK parts and I got the 55gr would it work for 62gr, or would I have to get the one for 62gr?

Get the #3, it's correct to the gun - the #15 is for a Hk53.

Good call on the +4 rollers! Bolt gap wet to .010 and , ithe 93 ate a mag of Wolf ammo. There was one stove pipe the casing did a 180 and was jammed just inside the ejection port. I took a look at my locking piece other than looking worn there is a #8 stamped on one side. I have seen the #3 for sale. Is the #8 wrong?

The number is not wrong but for hot ammo. The #8 is 53 degrees, the #3 is 58 and the 7 is 55 the lower you go the harder it is to unlock. I just built a 93 and it would not unlock at all with the #8, I replaced it with a #3 and it run like a dream.

Thanks for the info!  That would explain why  62gr SS109 ran like a champ and the 55gr Wolf would not even cycle.

I put 200 rounds of Wolf 55gr through the 93 and it was FLAWLESS fed and ejected with no hang ups!
