I'm looking for a a holster for the HK MP5K/SP89 weapon. I have seen some that weren't very impressive - just a few bands of fabric. Any leather or quality holsters out there?

I saw pictures of a leather shoulder holster for sale over on hkpro a while ago, but can't remember who made it.  I have one of the eagle nylon ones which I think is what you are referring to as the "cheap" ones.  It actually is a quality piece, and that is who made the HK factory marked ones.  Eagle doesn't turn out any junk.

Paul Evans of Holsters International made a killer all leather quick release MP5 shoulder holster - it's a shame he is out of business as his products were 1st class in every respect.

Eagle Industries also made a nice one that was all cordura - they no longer offer it.

I've got one of the eagle industries. I have yet to try it since having my SP89 turned into MP5 K Navy by ralph @ RTDS. It's a nice rig, I like the fact you carry 75 rounds of ammo. I wish it had a pouch for my KAC Navy suppressor.

Just get one of the standard tacticool vests to wear underneath it. The mag pouches can hold two 30 rnd. MP5 mags each, or a KAC suppressor.
