I bought a new PTR-91 last January––a stone stock 18" standard rifle.  I like my fighting guns simple.

Finally had a chance to take it to the outdoor range here, Island Lake in Green Oak, MI.  Well, I couldn't be more pleased.  I shot up some old mil surplus and everything worked perfectly every time.  It even shot to point of aim right out of the box.

Then, I put 20 rds of Wolf through it.  Still worked perfectly and no change in point of impact.  I used a variety of aluminum and steel mags I bought in bilk thru PTR.

I'd had some experience with HKs' as a friend has an HK91 I sold him many years ago in the days of hobbyist FFL holders, and my old PD had MP5s.  I like the HK platform and this PTR.

My wife has taen a liking to the S&W MP15 I bought, so this PTR will be my SHTF rifle.

i have both rifles also and love them both!

Only mods to the PTR has been the carry handle, the port buffer, bayonet and adaptor, Bill Springfield trigger work, clipped and pinned G3 lower, wide forearm, Bipod, A3 stock, Some G3 slings, a ton of mags, a few G3 cleaning kits, an MFI mount (took it off as i like plain sights on this rifle also)     You just have to love the adaptability of this rifle
