I have a Vector 53, Short barreled rifle. I took it to the range and was trying to get it sighted in. I need to move the bullet impact farther to the left, but The rear sight will not move any farther in that direction. What is the problem and how do I correct it?

| I assume you have unscrewed the locking screw on the top rear of the sight. If so then the adjustment screw of the rear right of the sight should then be free to adjust the windage. If there is no more available movement then the front sight base (triple ring) may not have been timed correctly and MAY be canted to the left. It is possible to re-do but it involves careful metal work and welding. |

I'm running across the same thing and found this thread through a search. One thing you can do without cutting welding ect. is to rotate the rear sight to get the adjustment you need. I rotated mine inbetween the detents towards the right and its now on.
I know its not the right way to do it but it may be the only way to salvage it without cutting welding ect. |

Todays Update.......Just got a call from Sandy at Vector. She took some information from me and said that she would be sending me a UPS label to send my SBR back to them. She said that the problem would be covered under warranty and they would cover shipping both ways and that they would get it fixed and get it back to me as soon as possible.

| Got my UPS sticker. Took it to UPS only to find out that I had it packed in an "unaccpetable box". (it wasn't corrugated) and had to get another box to put it in. Delivered it to UPS Friday. According to the tracking website, it sat at UPS till Monday morning and then left. Arrived in Utah yesterday (Wednesday). Now the wait begins till it's repaired. I'll give it a week before I call to check on it if they don't call first. |

My V-53 SBR arrived at Vector last Wednesday (2-4-09). I called to check on the progress today and after being put on hold twice for 5 minutes each and speaking with two different people, the lady on the phone told me...... "Our HK tech only comes in a couple of times a week to do warranty work and he comes in about 1:00. He hasn't gotten to it yet and we don't know when he will. Sorry."
