I may be selling my SP89 and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any restrictions on a private face to face sale for this kind of pistol? I have sold many handguns FTF before but I don't know if the SP89 falls into any kind of restriction. It is not a SBR and is stock except for a Williams custom trigger. Thanks!

It's just a pistol (handgun).

That is what I thought. Just wanted to know if it was somewhere considered a "special" pistol and subject to different laws with all the rules and regs the ATF has! Thank you!

Sold mine. Got $3,800 for it. Hope I made the right choice. I'm a user and not a collector and the SP89 with out the forward grip and stock(the way it should be set up) is just not practical. It's fun for a little while then just awkward.

It's just a pistol till you take it to California. Then it suddenly becomes a WMD.
