OK, I bought a Vector MP5/10mm a few months ago.  I've since read up on the techincal aspects of the HK series, and saw that the 10mm had two different locking pieces, one for high velocity, and one for low.

Now the Vector came with a locking piece that, by number, matches a 9mm PDW.  I called Vector about it, and they said they (or who they get the parts from) grinds them down to work in for 10mm.

I wouldn't care about all this techincal rubbish, except the weapon isn't reliable at all - lots of failures to extract and eject (I've had both problems).  Vector to their credit said they fix it if it didn't work, but I'm temped just to throw some money at it and buy a HK 10mm locking piece, if that would sovle the problem.

Has anyone upgraded their clone with a HK locking piece, and did it improve your weapon?  Any other tips related to locking pieces?

Thanks,
