So I work at a gun shop and I have been getting a lot of questions lately about 416 upper receivers. I know that they are the new piston driven alternative to standard gas ar-15 uppers but little else. I talked to someone today that says he can get one from a class 3 dealer he knows in PA. I know I can't get these but would like an education if someone is willing. Are 416 uppers available to general consumers in the US? If so anyone know where to get one? If not then why not [I'm assuming because HK does not want them to be available.] If not then are they only available to class 3 and if so why- they are only an upper. Thanks for any replies. Unlike some gun dealers I like to have a basic knowledge of what I'm talking about instead of making stuff up out of the blue. |
That sale is not for just the upper. It's the entire gun that is a Post-sample and required LEO only Dept head letter for purchase. The average joe isn't going to get this weapon on Gunbroker. Though I have seen several uppers for sale on various boards. They usually go for $4000-$5000 per upper. Maj |
Reading is Fundamental...
Looks like someone bought the cheapest 416 upper I've heard about thus far... |

I almost pulled the trigger but seller was new....no feedback and thats ALOT of money to trust to someone that might be pulling a scam.......but might not have also hell the whole 416;s are only $1700 to LE/Mil

So, tell me then. What do you feel a "genuine" HK 416 upper is worth? |
Yea, tell me, I still have not received your check, so I can always back out of the deal! |
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............................
