I'd go with yes, they make a fine product.

I think you need to consider their V53 instead, if you think you might want to SBR it some day. Or you could go the ultra easy route and get the V53 pistol and then just add a stock when you got your paperwork back. Okiehoma is a good place for guns.

But yeah, they seem to be pretty good. I've played with them at the gun shows a few times and the build quality seems very good.

I personally own and shoot a V53 and a V93.

Can't go wrong.

I love all of my vectors. 53, 93, and 33k.

if you have some time to wait, they can do a custom build for you as well (thats how my 33k came about). that way if you want a sbr, but not the super shorty 8" you can go that route.

the only real drawback to the weapon is the uber expensive mags.

ETA.
and the trigger work by bill (whatnow) is well worth the money.

There is a mod available. well sort of available, to make the thing take AR mags. It's really just plans, more or less. Someone was talking about making a kit to do it but haven't heard any more about that for a while.

Coharie is supposedly working on a 53 clone that is designed to soley take AR mags. No recent news on it though. They were supposed to be taking orders by now. Now that would be pretty nice... and economical.

C'mon man.....you can't say you don't like it without saying why?  Inquiring minds want to know.

Overall I think my experience was an exception and not the rule, I ordered and recieved a new gun, V93, direct from Vector to my FFL guy in Jan'06, it never ran correctly, it went back twice in 3 months for service at my expense (shipping) and they still never fixed it, finally I gave up on them and Jason at IGF fixed it for me.  He told me that who ever had put the gun together had totally buggered pressing in the barrel/trunion but his re-doing it fixed the gun when I finally got it back.

After that my conscience was clear about selling it and I did...

Not to hijack the thread, but where's a good place to pick up mags for the V53? Are they as expensive as my MP5 mags?

Thanks

I have a vector V93 and I love it. Great gun, very fun to shoot. Magazines are a bit hard to come by, but worht it. Vector builds a great product. Now, enjoy the goodness:

The V93s are very nice looking... but without an extensive review/torture test of the V93, like the ones done with DSAs SA58 FALs in the past, then I wouldn't plop the $1150 down for one.

If there were extensive testing done showing proven reliability I would have no trouble buying one.
