I have built 17 AK's 8 FAL's Can't count the AR's Now I want to build an HK. I don't know much about these. I saw you can get a kit for 300. Where can I get info on how to build these/whats involved? What is the diff between a G3 and HK 91 etc. I am really starting at the ground floor on this one. |

G3 build tutorial I think the tutorial makes it look harder than it is. It's now or never. Get the stuff then figure out how to build it later. |

You will need a reciever, and enough US parts to make the build 922 complient. The low down is you will need to weld the trunion and cocking tube to the reciever. If you can jig and pull off welding the trunion to the receiver correctly (sights true to the bore line), you will not have to pull the barrel from the trunion. |
The G3 is the military select fire weapon and the HK91 is the civilian semi-auto version of it. |
www.shop.black-market-parts.com/categoryNavigationDocument.hg?welcome=1&productStyle=Style1&layout=mustard&categoryStyle=Style4 www.top-notchparts.com/ You can get a complete SW kit here: www.shop.black-market-parts.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=30&categoryId=2, without a receiver. Authentic parts can be found at: www.hkspecialist.net/ www.hkparts.net/ I suppose that parts compliance would be necessary on a regular build, but I'm told that it isn't a problem on any NFA weapons (SBR for instance). The genuine HK parts are quite expensive and it will cost you a quite a bit to build one. I've seen a few different US made receivers, but mostly Special Weapons. |

Forget IO and FGW (ever dealt with FGW?- I have & wont ever again) G3 kits can be found here: 8 threads down from this one |
