I recently had a MP5 kit built on an SW receiver by Jayson at IGF. It runs great and looks awesome. I notice that the spent shells have fire/smoke markings that run the length of the shell on them after they are fired. Is this normal?

Look like flutes on the case?. Its normal. Its the fluted chamber that makes them.

I love seeing those casings lying on the ground at the shooting spot and thinking, "There's an HK about!"
