Has anyone tried the straight mp 5 mags that are around? I think that they're used German mags. I heard that the straight mags are not as reliable as the curved. Please educate  me on MP 5 mags.

Within "factory" mags, all are reliable.  The curved mags are supposedly better suited for hollow point ammo.

Be careful of "non-factory" mags.

good "factory" mags include German HK, Pakistani POF and some "LIQ" mags.

The straight mags work fine for FMJ.  I have not tried hollow points in the ones that I had.

I have a BW5 that will not feed reliably from straight HK Factory "SD" mags.  But with HK and POF curved it runs like a champ.  I know of one other BW5 that had the same issue with straight HK mags.

My HK94 would use these same straight mags without failure.

All times I was using FMJ only.

My strait mags work fine in my MP5.  Thumbs up for me.

Straights will feed HP. Some failures tho, but then again I've had failures with HP in curved mags too (POF).
