H&K guys, I need some help, here I am pondering a problem.  I am in total love with the MP5s and their sister guns from H&K.  So what is the total cost I could expect to get into for a full auto MP style Sub-gun.  The caliber is no great importance whether it would be 9, 40 or 10MM.  I have scoured over gunbroker.com but the prices seem high and they are rare.  Any suggestion were to start my search?  I know about the tax stamp but with that included what is my total investment cost?

Thanks,

HK-94 mod'd into to Mp-5 clone with a R-sear will run you in the $15,000 range, and the sear alone is going to run you in the $10,000 range alone if you want to mod a SW to run it in.

semi auto MP5 clones are about $1200-$1500

as stated, full auto adds about $10,000+ to that price

Sears are going for $12,000 ish right now. Add a SBR host for between $1,800 and $5,000 (cheapest clone at the low point to German host with all the bells and whistles at the high end)

Add in a tax stamp or 2, and the total would run between $14,000 to $18,000.

Most complete rifles with a sear that you see for sale today are German HKs, and go for the higher end of the range.

This is pretty good info. I have watched the price jump a bit lately and a good German 94 conversion asking price is $17k to 18.5 now. Not sure what they are selling for. You can get HTA conversions and clones cheaper along with 53s and G3 sear guns (not sure why these are cheaper..)

Be sure to look for a quality sear like a Fleming or an S&H and make sure its registered in all 3 calibers so you can buy host guns.

Thanks guys for the great info, I am looking at clones now in Semi with the Auto Bolt carrier in them, so I guess it will be that for xmas and save a bit for the sear to make it selectable.

Thanks again,
