a standard sw5 reciever... can that be used to build a mp5k clone? or is there work that has to be done to the reciever? i am new into this foray but eager to learn..

It can be used, but it does need to be cut down a little at the rear end. If you get one with the cocking tube on it already that has to be worked on too.  --ST

The top of the receiver in front has to be cut for the cocking notch.
