I was thinking about keeping backups of all the internal parts of my SP89 clone. Since it is my favorite gun to shoot I want to keep it running far into the future. I bought an extra extractor, extractor springs, push pins, and bolt head from Black Market Parts and they all worked great. I was looking at part prices on the internet and I have a question for you guys. Why is a SP89 semi auto bolt carrier $300 and a US made full auto MP5K carrier from Black Market Parts $150? It must just be a name brand thing. I am all about saving money. I realize that Black Market Parts is the new name for Top Notch, but if I can save money buying a cheaper part I usually do that. Black Market hasn't screwed me yet on a bad part, but their shipping is crazy expensive. ($16) What other parts should I buy in order to complete my spare parts box? (Recoil Spring Assembly, etc...) If they work for you, that's all it matters. To me, the potential risk of using aftermarket parts can be out of spec and/or inferior parts. |
there is a SP89 carrier for $75 at HK Pro, I paid $50 for one......never been used
