My BW5 is running smooth as silk since I've replaced the extractor spring and started shooting Wolf ammo.

The real H&K extractor spring was MUCH thicker and stronger than the spring that came with the gun.

I ran about 250 rounds through it before it got too hot to shoot.  I was looking at the ejected "brass" and found they were spread over a very wide, fan shaped pattern.  Is that normal?

I may still have ejector issues, but since it runs fine...

I would also like to know.  I still need to get some springs.  Did you keep the BW extractor or go with a HK one?

Thanks

I just changed out the ejector spring.  The stock spring was VERY easy to remove.  The H&K spring was TOUGH to get in.  But the extractor is very stiff now.

I have found my brass with eject at 85-90 degrees or directly left from the bolt. I went a different directon and decided to purches a second complete bolt head and have a ready to go back up bolt in researve.  The installment of the new bolt has its benifits with 100 percent operational preformance with over 500 rds on record since the update. I guess i will always keep a couple extra springs and extractors in the filed bag for insurance.
