I was wondering if I could buy a reciever with the barrel pressed in and the trunion welded. Then complete it over time with parts I find for cheap. I have the capability to do everything but the welding/barrel pressing. Am I on to something or is it totally impractical? |

| do you mean pressing the barrel into the trunion or the trunion into the receiver. The trunion just slips by hand into the receiver. as for the cocking tube it;s just three welds. two plug welds in the receiver and then the butt weld where they meet. it also helps when welding the cocking tube if you build a alignment jig. these are realitivly easy to build if you have some tools. I built 2 last saturday. so if you have any O's... |
