I have a KAC rail system on my M4 and would like to get a rail system for my 94.  Do the rail covers from the KAC fit on the surefire handguards?
Thanks,
BJohnson

I have KAC rail covers on my Surefire..........so yup, but I gotta think any rail cover is gonna fit any picitany rail

Yep it'll work, SF like most rail handguard makers is thoughtful enough to make its rail handguards compatible with the ubiquitous KAC rail covers

Thanks for the info guys.

Both for ends have picatiny rails, which mean they meet a certain spec... therefore, any picatiny rail cover will fit onto any other picatiny rail as long as they are in spec.

Yes they'll fit, but KAC rail covers require the cut in the first and/or last rail for their spring clip in order for them to stay in place.
In the pic I posted earlier, note where rail #16 would have been, these are the cuts to accomodate KAC rail covers.
My MRP only has these cuts towards the muzzle but not in the beginning of the handguard, which precludes the use of KAC rail covers there.  This is the reason we see anything but KAC covers on MRPs, unless the owner made their own mods.

Could you use a KAC MP5 RAS aimpoint mount attached to the Surefire rail? The mount that attaches to the rail and runs up the side of the gun?

I dunno but I don't think so.  KAC rails have screw holes, I think the MP5 Aimpoint mount screws into the hole which the SF rails don't have.  The KAC MP5 handguard is longer on the sides too, so even if the SF rails had the holes, it may not sit back far enough to clear the charging handle.
Well it's one and only one application I've seen that actually use these holes
