Man, I don't hang out on the HK side very often, but I bet this comes up a lot.

I bought a Cetme at a price I couldn't pass up but of course it's a Century, so of course there's problems.

The rifle cycles fine and it surprisingly accurate. But it dosen't feed. It will feed only when the mag spring is at it's strongest, when the mag is full. When it gets down to 17 or 18 rounds left, it starts jamming, and when it gets down to 5 or less rounds, it won't even pick the rounds up, the bolt/carrier just rides right over them.

I'm thinking the mag sits to low in the receiver. Is there anything I can do?

Obvious question here..  you've tried other mags with the same result?

Dang I just feel like a *ss now.
Didn't mean to sound like I was shoveling him off.
That's where I ended up finding all the answers to the issues I had with mine. Running like a champ now.

But that's a good point have you tried other mags ?

I bought a CETME few years back. Had nothing but problems.  Thought I tried everything.  Then I tried a G3 aluminum mag and no more problems.  I bought a bunch at like $2 each and its now 100% reliable and a fun rifle...now.

I have 8 Cetme mags and some work better than others, but none are reliable. I have 2 HK mags and neither fit.

Thanks for the link!

It's a Cetme made by Century, that's the problem. These guns are 100% junk and in the aprox 1 dozzen I have fired all had major problems. Trade it in on a JLD-91 and never look back.

Good luck in whatever you choose to do.
