Does anyone have any experience with Vector Arms V53 rifles, mainly their V53 SBR? I own a few real HK rifles and carbines but it always nice to add couple of clones to the collection. I spoke to Vector and they have assured me that the bugs they encountered early on with these weapons have been corrected. I still read a few threads from HKPRO that people are still experiencing FTF, FTE, and Keyholing with the SBR'd V53. Vector states that their V53 uses real HK barrels with 1:7 riflings but real HK53's used 1:6. Well, if anyone has any advise/experience please pass along?

Thanks,
Pancho

Where did you get that information?

I have a V-53 I haven't SBR'd it yet but , have plans to. So far so good. I had a couple of FTF today but, I think it was something I did to be honest. I need another trip to the range to say for sure.

89saleen,
What Vector model do you have? I was thinking about buying a Vector rifle but I am not sure what model I can buy and shoot until my SBR stamp comes back so I can have the pinned barrel extension removed.
  Thanks,

I have the V53LS (the fake suppressor one).

If your going to do this as an SBR, I would buy the V53 pistol and then once you get approval all you have to do is buy a butt stock and you can install it yourself compared to sending it off and spending $150 plus shipping to have the barrel shortened and a 2-3 week wait for the smithing work to be performed.

Hope that helps
