Could someone tell me if you had an FBI Safe/Semi lower housing, and take the lower that comes in the POF parts kit and put the internals in the safe/semi lower housing? Or would you need parts specific to a safe/semi lower. I would like my gun to have a lower like on the BOBCAT gun without having to purchase another complete lower. Any suggestions?
Thanks,Bo Perry

The FBI  S-F ambidextrous lower housing won't accept  really anything except the ambi FBI pack.

For max coolness factor, I bought a clipped/pinned Ambi 4 position housing, and put a FBI S-F pack in it......totally legal, and looks great. The selector indexes to all 4 positions, but only functions semi-automatically.

This is on my BW5-FS

Found it on the HKPro boards.
I think Mark Gala (www.big50hk.com) did the work.

There are some clipped/pinned housings on Sturmgewehr.com for sale now........didn't see any FBI packs though..............

A bit Off-Topic: Can you please explain what "clipped/pinned Ambi 4 position housing" means

On a full auto receiver, the grip housing is attach by a pin threw the receiver.  When you use a full auto grip housing on a semi, the attachemt point on the semi receiver for the housing uses a shelf wider than the receiver.  What is done is the inside of the pivot ears on the housing is widened to allow  it to fit past the sides of the semi receiver shelf.

In regards to photo above, although the receiver looks like it uses the swing type lower pinfront pin, the pin is actual cut and both ends are glued to the sides of the grip housing.

Villafuego,
any way you can take a few shots of the receiver shelf, and the front of the pack to get the point across?

I guess the question now will be where to get one? Thanks  for the information.

I modified my SEF plastic housing myself on a Bridgeport Miller but I have a question! Do you need to add a shelf tab to the plastic housing for it to locate on the reciever shelf? The stock semi housing  has a metal tab added to it, My Vollmer gun did not have a plastic lower & when I added one thats when the problems began! Unfortinately I sold off my steel converted semi housing before I tested  the gun with the plastic lower.

Dano523: Thanks for the explanation.

Thanks......regardless of the Bobcat/Special Weapons bunk you may hear, every person I know who actually has one loves it!

They come with a FBI/Navy "ish" trigger hsg. that I really didn't care for......I threw this lower/group on mine, an A3 (POF) stock, and replaced the dummy can with an AAC "imitator"

I'll try to take some "decent" pics of the trigger pack and the regular Bobcat lower/pack this weekend. It's still dirty from the range!
