Ok all knowing HK gurus.........Can a G3/HK91 be built out of HK21 parts kit? I would like something different and just can't part with 6000.00 for a beltfed 21. I really like the quick change barrel that the HK11E has.

Well I hope you can part with $4000...lol. That is a fine looking weapon. Not trying to hijack your thread, but who could do a conversion to a HK-91 to give it the HK-21 quick change barrel system? I'd imagine it's expensive... Price?

Go belt fed for 308, a mag fed gun with a 21 front end is nothing but a prostrate problem, it just wont come out fast enough.
The only reliable mags are the 20 rounders unless you want to spend $1000 for a 50 rounder, witch is still not enough. Now on the other hand a 223 HK with a beta................. yes indeed.

Leave your HK91 alone, there ain't more of them to be had in this country. Get a JLD receiver and build the 21 from there

Well I talked to Rapid Fire.............project was shot down in flames!!!!!!

Oh and sorry for the misnaming on the rifle, I wasn't going to chop up a real 91 [I'm not that nuts] But have Rapid build a 91 clone.

And what was the reasoning behind this?

What about when Beta-C comes out with their 91 mag, like they are suppose to..... I'm all about the HK11- as long as I can find someone to do it. I have an extra 91 laying around, so I don't mind chopping that one up.

Well Rapid Fire can do the work......for about four grand. Out of my price range for now

Just wanted to know if he would or wouldn't do it. Might check RDTS and see what they are asking, most of the HK smiths are roughly on the same sheet for pricing though.
