I was fortunate enough to attend the SAR show in Phoenix last month and saw the Vector table.  They had several of the V-93's there to look at and I was impressed with the overall look and quality.  I guess this doesn't answer your questions, as I didn't get to shoot any of the guns.  I'm planning on ordering one soon and will (hopefully) be posting a range report shortly.

Anybody try them out?

I saw that SteyrAug has one that he likes, but I want to know more.

Also the Ad in SGN says they retail for $1350, but what are dealers actually charging for them?

"Guntests" this month tested the 91, 53, and MP-5 clones. They liked the reliability but hated the triggers.

If I get a V-53 and like it, I would probably also buy the MP-5 from Vector.

One more question, what are the prices/good dealers for the 5.56mm mags?

I made a trip to my local dealer today to get a V-93 ordered up.  Vector told him that they are running about 7-10 days behind.  Also, they said that this current batch of retracting stocks is not up to spec and they're in the process of getting some new ones.  I ordered the rifle with the stock anyway because they said I could exchange it later if I thought it was too wiggly.

The gun ran $1100 with the retracting stock.  The sling was $15 and the bipod was $50.  The gun ships with one mag and I ordered 2 more used 40-rounders ($34.50 each) and 3 new 30-rounders ($45 each--ouch!).  Shipping will be $20 for all this.

Hopefully I'll have everything by the end of next week or early the week after.  I'll post pics, range reports, etc. ASAP.

Still no rifle from Vector.  They told me it would ship yesterday and that they would email with a tracking number.  I haven't gotten an email yet so I called them this morning and they said they are still behind on filling orders.  Hopefully I'll have the gun towards the end of the week.

I saw one of the mods here (new-arguy) at the Jax Fla fun show this past weekend and asked him about the the vectors and he told me his shop just had one come through,he said fit and finish was good but he did mention the magwell was tight. He said this week he was going to the Shot Show and he was going to look at somebody else's new '93 clone while there.Unfortunately he couldn't remember their name.I am interested in them myself.

On a side note,I seem to remember something about a mod that could be done to a '93 so it would take AR15 mags "if" it didn't have the paddle mag release installed. Can someone edumacate me on this.Thanx!!!

Here it is the end of the month and Vector has still not shipped my rifle.  If I haven't heard from them in another week or two I might just cancel spend my money on the new Robarm XCR.  One of those in 6.8 would be sweet!

Still no ship date from Vector!

I called them yesterday to see where my rifle was and they told me it'll be at least two more weeks before it ships.

Ya know, It's pretty tight, but not too bad.  You definitely have to insert or remove them into the well.  They're nowhere near as loose as an AR, but that's not necessarily a bad thing either.  Over all I'm still impressed with the fit and finish of the rifle and would recommend it to anyone who has a "thing" for HK type rifles.

I'm surprised to see that Vector has emailed me with a tracking number.  I just talked to them a few days ago and they told me it'd be two weeks before my rifle shipped.  The rifle will be at my dealer's tomorrow.  I'll hopefully get it picked up in a day or two.  I'll post pictures and a range report as soon as I can.

Did you order yours with the navy lower or the SEF?  Just wondering if the SEF lowers were something they would be doing in the future or now.  I'll hopefully have enough $$ to get mine by the end of this month.

All I can comment on as to Vectors product is that they are awesome. I love mine even though it had a minor issue with the twist rate [it had a original 1:12 barrel-not the new one] throwing some rounds sideways they have offered to replace the barrel, refinish the whole rifle under warranty. I bought it about 2 years ago. Other than that the function was flawless. No FTFs,FTEs etc.
They are to date the only mfg that has actually called me back when I had questions concerning a repair that I sent in. IMHO that alone says a lot.

What is the brl twist of the new brls? The 55 gr ammo work ok in the 1:12?
Thanks

I beleive the new barrels have a twist rate of 1:7 or 1:9 the tech told me and I didn't write it down.

Im sending off my money ofr my V-93 today. I paid extra for the SEF lower which I think will cost me some extra time too.  I think it will be worth it.   Now Im gonna order 5 40rd mags form DSA.  you get $5 off ea. if you order 5 or $10 off ea. if you order 10 but I cant swing $300 on mags right now so im settling for 5.
