| I have been waiting patiently for my Vector SBR for a few months and have been told by my dealer that they are still currently out of stock of that weapon and are having technical problems with feeding or other reliability problems with that weapon. Can anyone verify if Vector is having problems with that particular weapon? I hate to fork down good money and the weapon doesn't live up to Vector's reputation for making pretty decent firearms. |
| I've heard only good things about the Vector V53s. I ordered 3 with the short barrel and pinned on fake suppressor. It took about 1 week for them to ship after they got my dealer's FFL. Then again, I think some models are kept on hand and can ship out even quicker. It sounds like you may want to call Vector directly and see what they say. The only extended wait should be because of the SBR form 1 processing and not because of any current R&D issues. |
I was also interested in the V-53. What is the difference between the V-53 with the gas-venting muzzle extension and the V-53LS with the slip-on fake suppressor? Vector Website My plan is to shorten the barrel to the SBR length after acquiring a sear.
JIMBO, Which did you get? I also am in NJ. |
It looks like the LS has a long barrel that extends the length of the fake can. The gas venting muzzle extension is attached to a SBR length barrel on the other model. If you plan to SBR it don't get the LS, go with the other version and you can get your approved form 1 and then un-due one weld on the fake can and you're in business. |
