Finally deciced to take the gamble, and bought a Century Cetme at a gun show on Saturday.  I took it to the range, and it functioned flawlessly out of the box.  Went through 50 rounds of Australian ammo with nary a hiccup.

It shot a nice 25 shot group of about 4" at 100 yards.  (I suck with iron sights, what can I say).  Only problem is, that group was about 2 feet high and 2 feet left lol.

As the procedure for adjusting windage on these rifles is kinda a pain, I just opted to order a scope mount so I can use a red dot, or a scope if it looks like it can shoot well enough to justify it.

Man, charging this thing is a BITCH...I would not want to go into battle with it.  I'm having some shoulder problems these days, and the ergonomics of this gun aren't the best for that.

Even though the sights are off, I consider myself lucky, as it does go bang every time.  I know that can be an issue with some of these things.

I know what you mean about the charging handle. On my cetme it works so hard it is painfull.

I thought after several hundred rounds it would smooth up but so far no such luck. I also
have a pre-ban HK-91 and it works so much smoother its like night and day.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Other wise my  cetme is a great shooter for the money!

I would say it has a new recoil spring and could be after market, lube it up inside the tube with a light coat of oil and make sure you lube inside the reciever as well.

*Not claiming to be an expert but that may be some help*

My PTR91 is a bitch to charge too.  My wife can barely charge it.
