[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Thread lock

I have my DSA SA58 duracoated, the muzzle break was removed obviously.

Now after about 50 rounds the break is loose enough to turn.

Would putting blue thread lock on the barrel threads be advisable?

Perhaps red and torqued to spec if you are serious about keeping it on for good. Try torqued to spec first.

Red will work until the brake gets really hot, which isn't difficult to do, and then it will come loose again.

Definitely torque it to spec first.

Yeah, Ive got every wrench size but the one I need on the muzzle break.

If you want to use some type of threadlock try using nail polish, it wont degrade under heat like loctite, this is what we use on lo pro gas blocks on an AR

Look down the end of the flash suppressor, it may use a 3/8 inch square drive ratchet; some do.
