When the receivers are locked together is there suppose to be any movement betwenn them. If I push on the rear of the receiver with my finger by where the upper and lower come together vertically (right below the rear sight), I can get a little side to side movement between the two. It is not much but there is definetly some lateral movement. Is this normal? There doesn't seem to be any movement between the two up by the pivot pin area. This is a "new" stg build from dsa.

Normal.  Mine does it as well.  Kind of like the slop in AR15s.

I have an Imbel build that had a bit of play.  Make sure the pivot pin is tight.  On mine, I gently spread the lower receiver sides apart at the top for a tight fit.  Considering that the front and rear sights are mounted on different assemblies, the tighter the fit, the better for accuracy.

I actually tightened up the hinge and it now is pretty snug. Just curious, Myfakename< how did you flare those out? I have heard of people doing it but what did you use to push them out ever so slightly?
