Anything I should about on these stocks?  I can find plenty of reviews on the AR version, but not really anything on the FAL version.  I have no doubt they are high quality, however, is the install fairly simple if you have a buttstock tool?

I'm planning on putting one on my 16" STG along with a CAS-V, scope rail, vltor bipod, Jard 3.5 trigger, and GRSC's 1-6x variable.  However, I can save $200+ by using the standard stock.

Is the PRS worth the money on a DMR-type rifle?

I don't know anything about the PRS, but my StG stock works great.

As for the bipod, try to mount it as far back on the handguard as possible, it'll deflect the barrel less.  The CASV is a great handguard, I just got mine yesterday.  I'll make a thread on it tomorrow when I get some pictures of it.

Just my two cents, but I don't know if I'd go to that expense to put a DMR/target shooting style stock like that on a 16 incher.

But that's just me!

Why not?  It's perfectly capable of hitting at muzzle-600 yards.  I'll have my can on it, a good optic, and the Jard is supposed to be a pretty good trigger.

What's your reasoning?

mines hitting at 750 consistently. Will do better once I get a better scope. From my experieance the shorter barrels produce less stringing and barrel whip. This 16" FAL I have now is more accurate than any other I've had in the past. I don't have a can yet, but that's next on my list. I'm interested to see how much, if any POI is affected by one.

I've very interested to know what you think about it.  I look forward to your post.

What sort of groups are you getting out of yours?  If I can average 2 MOA I'll be ecstatic.  This is with a, supposedly, Steyr-barreled STG 58 kit on a SA58 receiver.

at 100 with a 4x I was getting under 2 MOA, and that's mainly because of me. I'm not the best shooter out there.

They are very well made however have never used on a FAL. One thing to keep in mind are the butt pad are steel and there isn't any give. With that being said there are a number of recoils pads that work with them.

The PRS stock is a good quality stock, like pretty much anything Magpul makes.  The only negative (kinda) thing I can say about it is that it is heavy!  It actually can make a shorter barreled FAL un-balanced due to this weight.

I will weigh one and let you know the difference from a standard stock to a PRS when I have a chance.

Thanks, Mike

I've read else where that it's almost 2 lbs.  I don't know what the standard stock weighs.

What sort of groups are you getting with that set up?  Are you noticing any zero shift due to the bipod affecting the barrel or anything crazy like that?  That's almost exactly what I'm going for!

Standard humpback stock with sling swivel, butt pad and screw weighs 0.7 pounds.
The PRS stock complete weight 2.1 pounds.

Its a boat paddle.

The rifle that is pictured is not my gun, it is one that we built for possible export purposes.  I have shot something very similar a few times and was very happy with it.  It was comfortable and easy to shoot.  It was definitely a bench gun though, I think it weighed in at like 13 pounds!

Thanks, Mike

They are heavy but very strong. They sent me one to test with a .50 upper on an AR15 lower and pounded the heck out of it and was unable hurt it. Pounded on it with a  45 lb upper and then a 15 lb upper in .50 bmg

Ran some stout load with it and things went good. Don't think you'd ever hurt one with a FAL
.
Heavy .50

.
Light .50 (be careful with this video there is people cussing, but funny as heck, watch the people in the back ground when this bad boy barks )
Like an earth quake
