| I know that this has been covered on here before (that's how I found out about it) but I couldn't find the post. Has anybody sent back their SA58 for the trigger housing recall? How long did it take to get it back? Any other pertinent info I should know? |
| I got an used DSA Fal recently and was worried about that too. I called them about it and the guy who deals with that was busy. I left my phone number and serial # of the rifle. For my surprise they called back in two minutes to inform that my rifle was not affected by the recall. Nice customer service. By the way, if your rifle is one of the Austrian (STG-58) models like mine, DSA says that none of those were affected by the recall. |
| I called them and unfortunately my rifle was one of the recalled rifles. They sent me a case, a box and a shipping label to send it back to them for repair. I was just wondering if anybody else has sent theirs in yet or if I was the only unlucky schmuck whose gun was recalled. When I called them about the recall, the gentleman on the other end of the line was very polite and got all of the stuff I needed to return the rifle out to me right away. I just hate to part with it even if it is for only a couple of weeks. |

I would be upset too, but I think their customer service seems to be great and you will probably will get it back fast. |
| I am sending my para stripped lower out Monday. I got a shipping label from DSA. I am using my own box for shipping. Nicole said I should have it back within two weeks. I wasn't in a hurry to build anyway. Too cold in the garage and work is a 48 mile commute. I like the $20.00 certificate deal too. |

I just wish the would release the serial numbers of the rifles that need recall. This way, there would be less people calling to inquiry about their rifles, and would make it easier for DSA. There is an online form on their website you can fill out. I did and they told me mine was built in the window of the recall. So it goes back :( I don't think they want to publish a list of serial numbers. I would not appreciate having my rifles serial number listed on a website. |

Yes, I have to agree - I would not like that either... When did you buy yours? |

| Got an e-mail last night from Nicole at DSArms. My SA58 was found to be out of spec. They fixed it and shipped it out yesterday. I should have it back by Monday. The only problem is they have my billing address and my shipping address and it's a toss up as to which one they shipped it too. Sometimes they ship to my billing address sometimes to my shipping address. I guess I'll have to be prepared and have myself stationed at one and my wife stationed at the other. |
