quick question is it even worht putting a buffer tech recoil buffer in an fal considering the adjustable gas system that can be used to reduce the recoil. are there really any pros of havin on of this put in my fal.

No. Not really. They are like a set of fuzzy dice for your rifle. They don't hurt anything, but they don't do anything either.

I have one but have been afraid to put it on because I read on another forum (FAL FILES) that they CAN and have loosened and actually block the bolt.

This.

Only legit use would be for a blowback FAL, to help block some gas.  JMHO.

I run them on alloy lowers and such; no need to beat the crap out of the lower with a steel bolt carrier. I don't use it as a recoil reducer, more as a possible peening/wear reducer.
