All else being equal, is there a weight savings with a para style folding stock? Anyone have exact figures for either?

DSA 18" standard gas, stock and aluminum top cover - 8.6Ibs (using an ultra accurate $15.00 WalMart bathroom scale)

I think the "real" para is heavier than a standard. I don't know about the DSA.

On my rifle, adding a folding stock and removing the bipod was about a wash...until I added optics, then it ended up heavier..

If it helps.....DSA lists their 18" Para Congo at 9.85 lbs and their 18" Congo at 8.6 lbs.
