So I got my rifle, I love shooting it, but I need help with the gas regulator.
I'm having a problem turning it. Its stuck good and hard. Maybe I should try to spray a little lube on it to help it? And before anyone asks, yes I'm turning it the proper way! |

For the love of god man, explain the bottle opener lol. It's stuck on like 2.3 lol, and is running HARD! Wait, I might have gotten your hopes up for no reason....I was thinking about the gas tube nut, not the adjuster
But you could try it anyway...the bottle opener like you find on a swiss army knife will work as a sort of spanner wrench. I know that the adjuster stuck on mine when I adjusted it all the way open, but I havent had it stick in the middle that I can recall. |

If it is that hard to turn, something is wrong and needs to be addressed.
Rust and petrified cosmolene are common problems. Another common problem is the gas tube pin is too long or the gas tube pin hole has been peened and the resultant bur is causing the regulator to bind. On IMBEL regulators, sometimes the inside needs to be polished. Some IMBEL regulators are a little on the small side internally and need to be polished to create more clearance. |

ARFCOM, ye have come through for me yet again. It had a god bit of carbon stuck around it, and a small bit of pressure with the nptt;e opener did the trick. Now I can feel every click I move the regulator, and It's slightly audible.
Gentlemen, this buds for you. |
