I looked it over at the fun shop. It looks like a real FN FAL. It's got a horizontally ribbed foregrip and a bipod.

That's what the tag said, but I doubted it from the start.

I didn't think to get some marking pics with my phone, but what should I look for to vrify what it really is?

Check the receiver markings... a real FN will be factory marked FNH, Made in Belgium
