Are there any of you who use the Arms scope mount whitch slides in and takes the place of the bolt cover versus Ugly looking screws. I'm sure the dsa mount is great but I cant stand all those screws... All input would be greatly appreciated.. http://www.mountsplus.com/miva/graphics/00000001/3.gif |

The ARMS mount works ok providing it fits your receiver correctly. On some it may be tight and others it can be loose. On my 3 receiver if only fit one correctly. Not a fault of the mount but since everyone can't get together and make the receivers to spec it makes the mount useless on some receivers. It also tends so loosen up over time since the only thing holding it on is the spring rails riveted to the cover. Works ok for a dot type scope but for a magnified optic I would use the DSA. |

The ARMS works well on my Imbel receiver. I use it with an Aimpoint M2 or currently with a Nikon 4x. Holds zero when removed/reinstalled. I like the ARMS because it will not scratch or mar the finish of the receiver. With some massive optic the DSA would prob be a better choice. However, the FAL is not really a good rifle for some giant sniper scope anyhow. I like my ARMS. Cheers, EMSflyer |
| Thank you for the comments. I bought a Arms and felt it looked cleaner. Ater installing and it noticing later my gun did not lock all the way down because it looked a little thick ontop preventing the gun from fully locking closed. The mount needs shaving on top. This is on a imbel reciever. So goinig to have to do a file job on it I think. |
