I can decide on getting a ACOG (308 reticle) or go with a Leupold Mark either CQ/T or a MR/T of either 2.5-8 or 3-9 or 1x5.  Any sugesstions or is there something else better for my FAL's
Thanks

I'd get the ACOG, but that's just personal preference.  Would be quite happy with any of the models you mentioned.

I'm quite fond of the Elcan on mine, but it is mounted too high for most people.

The major deficiency of the ACOG is that it has no diopter adjustment.  Not an issue for good, young eyes, but could be a major problem as you age.

The CQ/T is set up to be the correct height on an AR.  Mine sat so high on my FAL that it was almost unuseable.  I bought a .308 reticule 3x30 ACOG and had the same problem with it using the included flattop mount.  DSA has a special mount HERE that lets the 3.5x35 sit at the correct height for a FAL.  I asked them in the fall if they would make one for the 3x30 and they said they are redesigning the mount to take all the 3, 3.5, and 4 power ACOGs.  It's not available yet as far as I know, but should be soon.
