I just got a DSA Congo and it has a rear sight that is similiar to an AR A2 sight. I've seen these on all of the paras but not on a regular rifle? Is there much of a difference between the regular sight and the A2 style sight? Is this unusual for a regular rifle to have the A2 type sight? Thanks. |

The A2 style sight is an option from DSA, it is different from the para sight although similar in appearance. There is a bit of difference between the regular FAL sight and the A2 sight, mainly the A2 has protective wings, and the adjustment method. Is it unusual? I'd say it's just new to the FAL design. Just in case you’re interested, the A2 option is also available on the para. Edit for pics http://www.dsarms.com/images/US061A2H.gif http://www.dsarms.com/images/U061.jpg |

This is NOT the sight on my rifle. My sight looks like the sight that's on the paras. Although I've only seen them in pictures. Thanks for the info. I didn't order my rifle with this sight so I'm not sure why they put this one instead of the standard FAL sight. It is nice looking and I like the protective wings since I'm failry hard on my gear. I'll post some pics of the sight so you can see exactly what it is. It has a screw on either side of it. I'm assuming you move the sight by loosening one and tightening the other. Is this right? Thanks again. |
Is it more like the A1 sight? Or is it the same as the para? http://www.dsarms.com/images/P120USSET.gif |

I'm not exactly sure what an A1 sight looks like because my ARs have A2 sights. It basically looks like an AR sight in that it has wings on either side. It does not have elevation or windage knobs. It has 2 peephole sizes that can be switched by flipping the sight (like an AR). |
