I ordered the above spring kit www.falconarms.com last Wednesday morning for my new DSA Tac Carbine that had a factory 10 1/2 pound trigger pull.  The kit was delivered USPS on Friday. I was blown away by how fast I got it. I put it in Friday night. It was a piece of cake. I took the rifle back to the gun shop and had the trigger pull remeasured. It was now between 7 and 7 /12 pounds. It's still not quite where I would like it, but the spring kit was well worth the money. It dropped the pull by 3 pounds for only $14.50. I shot the rifle on Sunday and it worked flawlessly. It was also much easier to shoot with the lighter trigger. If you have an FAL, I cannot reccomend Falcon Arms and their spring kit highly enough.

I have been thinking about this kit...after reading your posts I ordered one tonight.  My DSA is well over 10#  pull now, and any decrease is a good thing.

If you shoot surplus ammo, think twice before dropping in that light hammer spring.  Everything else should be fine though.

I get 20% failure to fire with the light hammer spring.  I half cock and refire and the round fires the second time.  Surplus = hard primers.

Factory ammo is fine for me though but I want it to shoot reliably with ANYTHING I throw in it.

+1 for the trigger pull reduction kit from Falcon. It helped my DSA SA58. Well worth the money.

Had my SA-58 trigger measured at the gun shop locally... The markings on the scale stop at 8 pounds... my FAL was still pulling the scale back. I estimate it to be around 10 pounds, probably more.

I will be ordering the springs this Friday... 10+ is too much no matter how you look at it.

I have one of these spring kits installed on my FAL Carbine and am very happy with its performance.  I do shoot surplus ammo also and have had no issues with light primer strikes.

Well worth the asking price in my opinion.

All thats left is a simple trigger job to get rid of the creep.

I just ordered too.  My SA58's trigger is like pulling nails with your finger.

I just ordered the Trigger Spring Kit and on MAG rebuild kit for evaluation... Shipping was just $4.50 via USPS.

I'm still looking for a DSA EXTENDED Safety Lever or commenst on the SAW grip angle...

After installing this kit my FAL started doubling due to the bolt following. I put the standard sear spring back in. (I hope I got the nomenclature right, it was awhile ago.)

Is there any information on how to install the damn thing?  Not a single instruction in the kit, just prings and a card full of warnings.  I'm a little pissed they can't be bothered to explain the installation.

ETA: Never mind!  I found the info here and I'm done already.   Wow!  What a difference!

A easy fix for lite strikes on primers is to take out the firing pin spring and grind of 2 coils. this alows the pin to travel a little farther forward. Port primers a famous for hard primers and out of thousands of rounds fired of surplus I have never had a FTF from a lite strike.

I have been able to get a really sweet 4lbs, very short, smooth pull from an FAL with these springs. I ought to keep a few in stock for people needing trigger work.

I installed one of these kits, along with a little stoning and polishing of a few surfaces.

I'd rate the result as very good, and a very noticeable improvement of the OEM unit.

What would I call excellent?  The Milazzo-Krieger trigger on my AR, and the NM trigger on my SM M1A.
