Anybody know where I can find a bipod? I'm new to FALS and don't know where to start looking.

Go to www.falfiles.com/forums and place a want to buy (WTB) ad in the marketplace forum.

Do you know if the barrel on your FN is cut for a bi pod?

Sportsmansguide has them. But you gotta be 18 to buy one.

I kept the STG 58 bipod on my rifle after I bought it, and thought that suggestions to remove it were dumb.

A few years later I became convinced that STG 58 bipods are dumb. Very noticeable POI change when you use it.

I took it off and have no regrets. The thing was a dirt and corrosion magnet, anyway.

The issue bipods on FALs are there to assist the shooter in controling the rifle during full auto fire. For semi auto fire, it is a detriment to accuracy.

Free float handguards and a Versa-Pod prone make a nice range combo! Not a lot of prone hunting here in MO but you can add a sitting length bipod too. In practical terms it's almost never tall enough though.

Without a free float tube a bipod can hurt more than it helps on accuracy though.

You can also try Tapco.
