Has anyone zeroed their FAL at a reduced distance (like 25m)? I was wondering how high I should be at 25m w/ milsurp ball. (Im using SA ball if that makes a big difference.) Eventually Ill make it to a 100m outdoor range but would like to get a rough zero on my rifle before hand. Really, I just want to shoot my FAL but would like to accomplish something useful at the same time.

I have been using a 50 yard zero on everything lately - seems to keep me nicely zero'd within inches from muzzle to 200 yards...be it with an AR, FAL or M1A...

Put it about 3/4 of an inch low at 25 and you should be close at 100.

Wow...then Im way off out of the box my fal was shooting about 4" high at 25yds. The next question is whats a 'click' worth on the front sight?

POI=POA @ 25M = 200 yd zero for most 7.62 NATO battle rifles.

You'll be a little off at 100 yds.

One click is 1cm at 100 meters.
