Man, I'm tempted all the time, I have a Stoll for it and everything, but the damn rifle shoots so well now I am afraid to mess with it.

Quarterbore, I have no idea about Penn., but you should contact your DMV and see if they do it.

There was a movie called Breaker Morant that told the true story of an Australian Lt. in the Bushveldt Carboniers serving in South Africa during the 2nd. Boer War.  He and two of his men were used as scape goats by the British gov't for executing Boer prisoners and a German missionary who was giving information to the Boers.  The Brits were concluding a peace treaty, they needed scape goats, and some unlucky Colonials were the perfect choice.

The whole "Rule .308" is a take off of a scene in the movie during the court martial where Morant is being railroaded and is asked what rule did he apply when executing insurgents.  He replied that he applied "Rule .303!", the caliber of the British Enfields.  The movie has always been one of my favorites.

My sympathies lay with the Boers, but that's a different thread.  Anyway, long way of telling a story about a hat.

Here's the movie......definitely on my "to buy" list.

The guy who plays Morant is Edward Woodward, who was the "Equalizer" on TV.

By the way, the 2nd. Boer War is where we get "concentration camps", and "commando" entering the language.  The Brits invented concentration camps to "concentrate" all the Boer women and children into one area so that they could fight the Boer men easier.  A lot of women and children died in those camps of malnurishment and disease.

Kommando was a military designation used by the Boers.

Ok, class dismissed.......
